Beach Trip 2010

This summer we went to the beach with the entire Rachal clan. Fifteen people in one huge beach house, seven children under six years of age.


Elizabeth was thrilled with the ocean this year. Last year she mainly hung out in the sand. This year she ran into the ocean and promptly got knocked over by a wave. She jumped up and yelled, "That's so silly!"

The cousins got along really well. Elizabeth loved playing with and taking care of Thomson.

We had our own pool which everyone enjoyed. Here, Elizabeth and Jacob are chatting away.

Cristi brought kites for everyone. They had a blast flying them, after we got them assembled.

Michael said it was as fun as building sand castles - which he did everyday.

As the days wore on, Michael and Elizabeth became more brave in the ocean. Towards the end Cristi, Jackson, Michael and I were body surfing.

My little beach bum is seven months old.

Celebrating the summer birthdays

Michael even received more birthday presents. He is going to start calling this his birthday month pretty soon.

Trying to get a picture of the seven children was quite a task. Unfortunately, Thomson is missing from this shot.

These three were happy to keep posing after the others ran off.

You can't tell from these pictures, but I was also on this vacation. This will have to do for a family picture.
