Christmas

Michael and Elizabeth were thrilled with the play kitchen awaiting them.


They were both very efficient at opening presents this year.


Michael asked Santa for a brown electric blanket.


James is taking a break from assembling toys to open a present for himself.

Decorating gingerbread men

Michael was more interested in eating the decorations while my mom and I did most of the work.

Elizabeth even added a few gumdrops, but kept a firm grip on her treat.

When we returned from Christmas mass the children raced back to the play kitchen.

We all enjoyed celebrating with my parents.

She is serious about her grilling.

Breakfast with Santa


The kids enjoyed the crafts while waiting for the food.


Santa came to visit our table while we were still eating and Michael was more interested in his breakfast. He couldn't stop shoving pancakes and bacon into his mouth long enough to tell Santa what he wants for Christmas.

James had a major hangover, he was a trooper for joining us.

Elizabeth was having fun, but didn't want Santa or Mrs. Claus to talk to her.

We won a fire truck as a raffle prize and both of them were given teddy bears.
On our way home we saw (another) Santa on top of a fire truck spreading good tidings to the neighborhood. Michael thought it was "so cool" since we had just received the toy.

Overall I was pleased with the portrait session

Of course the next time we go in there will be a new addition

This is the first time we have had Advent calendars
Elizabeth isn't too interested because she doesn't know what's inside the door
