First Zoo trip of the year

It was a perfect day to go to the zoo - 60 degrees and not too crowded

Michael wanted to race through the animals to get to Kid's Kingdom

Welcoming Spring

On this first day of spring the kids had their first Easter Egg Hunt of the season

The MOMS spring party had to be inside since there were snow flurries

Elizabeth is not pleased with her baby treat

Hmm ... I don't think so

Michael has been asking for a scooter. Yesterday we got it and he LOVES riding.
Luckily we had a nice evening since it's cold again.

After riding around the neighborhood, Michael and I went for a walk. We have protected wetlands on our property and we went down there. There were lots of things for him to discover. He stared at a patch of cattails for awhile then called them hot dog plants.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Michael had fun helping me to make cupcakes.
(The proof is all over his face.)

Elizabeth could not believe her luck.
She got a taste of the treat and devoured it faster than James.

Michael showing off one of the hats he made in school.
They make the cutest crafts.

Nine months old!

Elizabeth is 9 months today.
She loves to wave hello and bye-bye
My favorite is when she sucks her thumb and waves with the remaining fingers.

Here she is waving enthusiastically

At her well-baby appointment yesterday she was in the 75% and 76% for weight and height respectively.
Michael and Elizabeth had a rough time with a virus this past month.
Then she was miserable cutting her two front teeth. But we're better now and I'm ecstatic that she's sleeping through the night. She has six teeth and loves to show them off when she smiles at everyone.

Normally, she is very happy, but those front teeth were a pain.

Elizabeth is not necessarily crawling, but she scoots backwards, slug-like.
She can also pull up to a standing position, but is not yet cruising.

Michael was trying to help me get pictures of her waving, so here she's waving at both of us
