Andrew's first haircut

His hair was going into his eyes and getting caught in his shirts, so I decided to give him a quick cut. He was much more cooperative than his brother and sister.

I enjoyed a morning at th zoo with my boys while Elizabeth attended her first (zoo) camp.

After her class she joined us for some fun.

Elizabeth loves animals, and she especially likes snakes.

This year Michael rode the rides with his sister.

Andrew was happy to go along for a stroll.

Her favorite animal - the elephant

The kids were thrilled that the kangaroos came up so close.

It is finally warm enough to try out the new baby pool.
Michael picked this gift for Elizabeth's birthday. I think he's very excited about his present.

James and I enjoyed gin and tonics while watching the kiddos frolic in the pool.
Aaaaahhhhh, summer.....

Michael insisted that they pose in front of the pool.

Andrew is 5 months old

This is his favorite position. Sucking his thumb and using the other hand to hold or push it in.

If his thumb is removed, he happily clasps his hands together.
Such a good natured boy.

This weekend we visited my grandmother in the hospital.

It was her first time meeting her great-grandchild Andrew.
He loved when she sang to him. She also called him the prize baby because she says he can win a baby competition.
She may be a bit biased.

Elizabeth was not interested in pictures, there were a lot of things to play with in the hospital room. It was lovely to see my grandmother and the children enjoyed our time with her.
We are praying for her.

Happy 2nd Birthday Dear Elizabeth!

Enjoying rhubarb pancakes for breakfast.
Michael created quite a menu for Elizabeth's special day. He made sure to include her favorites. For dinner we had beef tenderloin with bearnaise sauce, baby bok choy, and sauteed 'shrooms.

We met friends at Chuck E. Cheese

Elizabeth was thrilled that it was her special day. She loved having everyone wish her happy birthday.

She had a great time watching the older kids play some games.

But the most fun was had while playing with her big brother.

Giddy up!

They only won enough tickets to get these suckers.

I was trying to get some pictures of Elizabeth in front of her presents. But first she insisted that she needs to apply lip gloss.

She definitely picked this up from my mom.

We opened presents before dinner, so that they could play while I prepared the feast.

Blowing out the candles on her chocolate molten cake.
Michael helped me to prepare these individual desserts.
After all the effort, she was most excited about the candles.

As soon as Elizabeth woke up the next morning she went straight for her favorite presents. Here she is setting up her dolly day-care on the deck.
