Trick or Treat

Michael and Elizabeth had a great time. Michael would put so much thought into which candy he would choose, if given a choice. Elizabeth would try to grab a handful, then refused to let go. It took her quite awhile to figure out that we were not eating anything along the way.

We joined another family and everyone had fun. The younger kids went home after awhile - it was pretty chilly. Michael stayed out with an eleven year old until 8 o'clock. He must have been exhausted, James said he was running to keep up with everyone. When he returned home he mostly wanted to admire his huge pile of loot, and didn't really care to eat the fruits of his labor.

Happy Halloween!

Look at that sweet face begging for a piece of candy

Posing with his classmates

We went to two malls earlier this week to trick-or-treat

Elizabeth enjoying a frownie brownie

The mall was crazy busy and the kids loaded up on treats.
Michael was most excited about this light up toy.

Trying to get a picture of the toy in the dark.
We really enjoyed the Halloween season, there were so many events to attend.
Some favorites include the Zoo Boo and the Library Halloween Bash.

Assembling the new crib for Elizabeth

Here she is helping out.
Michael was actually a very good helper. He even reminded James not to swear when he got frustrated.

Very proud of herself

A glimpse of Elizabeth's big girl room

Crying to get into the crib

She thinks it's a great place to play. Eventually I hope she will be sleeping in here.

We love her skeleton pajamas. Michael is always dragging her into a dark room so they can see the bones glow in the dark.

Michael went to a birthday party that had an Exotic Birds Show
I can't believe he let three birds hang out. Most of the other children were afraid.

MOMS Group Halloween Party
The first of many opportunities to wear costumes this month

Elizabeth, the butterfly, is waiting patiently to go trick-or-treating.

Michael - the tiger - is posing next to the treats.

Naturally, their favorite activity was decorating the cookies.
All of the other kids went to hear the librarian read some Halloween stories, and these two were still enjoying their creations.

Fun with shaving cream

Earlier this month I thought Michael and Elizabeth would keep busy with shaving cream while I baked a cake. I think I managed to make the crust and while that baked I started the clean-up process. Oh well, they had fun and the pumpkin cheesecake was eventually made.
