TRICK OR TREAT

Wearing my Dorothy mask, we braved the cold to go door to door.

For the second year we joined the Jameson family.

Michael and James stayed out and loaded up on candy.

We did not get a single trick-or-treater to our house this year. Now we have TONS of candy.

Halloween Festivities

This entire week leading up to Halloween has been filled with fun activities.

The kids had a blast at a cookie decorating play date. Michael created a well designed bat, ghost and pumpkin. Elizabeth would frost one, lick it off and start over.

We took advantage of an unseasonably warm day and went with friends.

By the time we arrived at the bears, Michael was really hot and in no mood to pose.

My Aunt Barbara made this quilt and created a lovely Nair album to accompany it.

Trick-or-treating at the mall

We weren't able to hit all of the stores because Elizabeth kept stopping to eat the candy.

When we got home Andrew ate a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin while the children sorted through their loot. He loves them, good thing I baked over one hundred.

A LION A TIGER A BEAR

OH MY!

Andrew is nine months old!
I cannot believe my baby is three-quarters of a year already.
Actually I can because he crawls like crazy, pulls up on everything and takes two steps here and there. He is all over the place and to replenish his energy he eats A LOT! Yesterday he ate three pumpkin chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. He has no problems with Indian food, as long as I mix it with a little yogurt. His toothless grin is not impeding the way he eats all table food.
Andrew claps his hands and is starting to wave. With each new skill he acquires Michael and Elizabeth are thrilled. They squeal, "Mommy, Andrew crawled from the kitchen to the bedroom!"
Today we were raking leaves and jumping in the piles and Andrew was right there with the bigger kids. He is such a joy.

Pumpkin Patch

As soon as the tractor dropped us off in the field Michael went looking for the perfect pumpkin. Each child had to carry their chosen gourd, so they quickly searched for small ones.

It was a perfect day for the patch. Low 80's and no Steelers game.

We met some friends there and the kids ran through the haunted house together several times.

Going through the cornstalk maze, the children thought we were going to eat corn.

We all had a wonderful trip to the farm. Elizabeth and Michael's favorite activity was roasting marshmallows at the campfire.

They were very nervous in the petting zoo. They preferred looking at the animals from the other side of the fence.

Earlier this week Michael had his first field trip. His class went to the apple orchard.

Visiting Curious George at the Children's Museum. After waiting in line, Elizabeth ran away screaming when we got close. I think he looks friendly. We are attending the Curious George Live! concert in a few weeks, hope she isn't scared.
